Description

Tecoma stans is a fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree, usually 3–10 m tall, with a rounded crown. Leaves are opposite, imparipinnately compound, bearing 5–13 lanceolate, serrated leaflets. Flowers are bright golden-yellow, trumpet-shaped, and borne in large terminal clusters. Fruits are long, narrow capsules, 10–25 cm long, containing numerous flattened winged seeds.
