Description

Fernandoa adenophylla is a medium-sized deciduous tree, usually 10–20 m tall, with a straight trunk and spreading crown. Leaves are opposite, imparipinnate, with 5–9 ovate to elliptic leaflets. Flowers are large, pale yellow to creamy-white, trumpet-shaped, and borne in terminal panicles. Fruits are long, slender, pendulous capsules, often 30–70 cm long, containing numerous flattened winged seeds.
