Description

Dinebra panicoides is an annual or short-lived perennial grass, generally 30–100 cm tall, with erect culms and a fibrous root system. Stems are slender, smooth, and often branched. Leaves are linear and flat, usually 10–30 cm long and 3–8 mm wide. Leaf blades are green with rough margins. Leaf sheaths are smooth, and ligules are membranous. The inflorescence is a branched panicle with numerous slender racemes, giving a loose and open appearance. Spikelets are small, flattened, and arranged along the racemes. The fruit is a small caryopsis.
